The 2024 Regular Session was the beginning of a new four-year term for the Mississippi Legislature. While the Senate remained largely the same, the House of Representatives elected a new Speaker of the House, Jason White (R-West), who appointed Medicaid Committee Chairwoman Missy McGee (R-Hattiesburg), and Public Health and Welfare Committee Chairman Sam Creekmore IV (R-New Albany).
