Unintended Pregnancy In Mississippi

In 2011, 45% of pregnancies in the United States were unintended. Mississippi’s percentage of unintended pregnancy was far higher at 56%. Pregnancy intention is tracked by state and federal public health agencies through annual surveys of women 15-44 who have recently delivered babies.
